DominiQ's BIO

DominiQ, born and raised in Ghana, migrated to Canada to join his father and brother in the year 2000. Prior to his music career in Canada, he had already started out in Ghana with the release of 3 music albums to his credits. As an Information Systems student at George Brown College, he still maintained his focus in music while excelling I both areas of his life. After graduating, he found himself diverting to the finance industry by working for companies like Accenture, Bell Canada, TD Canada Trust & Chubb Security System. All these experiences have enabled him to manage his music career with a contemporary business approach to his music. All his transitions has allowed him to release two albums in Canada with the first one being, “The Birth” in November 2004 at the Prayer Palace Centerplex and “The Glory Town Project” on September 1st 2007 at the McVety Center, Canada Christian College.

At age ten, he was appointed to lead and teach song at his local church’s Sunday school. This favor of leadership has been with him ever since in various arenas. In high School, he was once again appointed to lead praise & worship at the scripture union gatherings and that’s when he realized his full potential to sing and write. In pursuit of his purpose and destiny, he gave up his Catholic faith to become a Charismatic Christian and with his new found faith; his mother almost threw him out the home. That didn’t stop God’s plan over his life. At age 17, they moved to a new home and five minutes away was this vibrant church called Calvary Charismatic church which he joined and became very influential in leading the young people by touring their local high schools and spreading the gospel through music. This initiative helped to keep most of the young people of out the street and also to find a safe place in the church.

DominiQ over the years has travelled and shared the stage with renowned gospel artists like Fred Hammond, Kim Burrell, Israel Houghton, Cece Winans. He was also a part of the Rhema Worship & Praise team under the leadership of Pastor Orim Meikle. In 2005, the doctors told him he had nodes on his vocal cords and thought he could never sing again but glory be to God, two years later he was able to release his album,’” The Glory Town Project”. DominiQ now serves as a member of the Kingsway Community Life Center under the leadership of his mentor and spiritual father, Pastor Richard J. Brown & First Lady Paula Brown. As a CEO of his own record label, Praise Tone records, a division of his parent company, Tone Inc., he is currently working on 3 projects. The first one is his next album scheduled to be released on Valentine ’s Day 2009 entitled “Wedding Day”. He is also working on his new line of men and women’s fragrances called “Dominion for men” & “Tamara for her” and hoping to complete a live music recording, entitled “1 Nation Live” close to the end of summer of 2009.

He says “Glory Town Project” is not just an album but a movement. This CD features Canadian artists like Pastor Richard J. Brown, Londa Larmond-Moncrieffe & Peter Moncrieffe. I believe that there is a sound that is neither unheard nor untold of. DominiQ says “We are waging a counter attack against the spirit of darkness that is captivating our youth through music. This spirit is behind the music and the lyrics that cause so much violence, disrespect, disregard for human life, and discord on every hand. I am a warrior for the Lord Jesus Christ ushering in a new sound, to minister to the hearts of the broken and the needy in our world. I am an open vessel and whatever God decides do with me is just fine”.

DominiQ recently got married on 08:08:08 and currently resides in Mississauga with his wife, Tamara Nti. He had to put his tours on hold but now that he is settled in, we will be seeing more of him.

To God be the glory.

Welcome to Glory Town!
